We are all in the process of adapting to a new normal. The shelter-in-place and social distancing directives are critically important because it will take working as a team for the greater good to limit the spread of COVID19. However, what about us fitness fanatics who love to always be moving? How can we balance what we need to do with our innate desire to stay physically active? Shauna Harrison, MPH, Ph.D. makes her second visit to All About Fitness to provide a unique perspective on how to balance what we need to do with what we want to do. With both a MPH and Ph.D. in public health, Shauna, who writes the Sweaty Professor column for SELF Magazine, knows the importance of the new public health directives in mitigating the impact of the novel coronavirus, however as a yogi, fitness instructor and avid runner she also knows the challenges that many of us face by having to remain sheltered-at-home and deprived of our normal exercise routines. This is a fun and enlightening conversation that will help you to understand your role in promoting public health.
