Did you know that if you are a member of the US military that you could become a professional athlete? It's true! Each branch of the military has all-service teams where athletes in a particular sport such as volleyball, baseball or basketball compete against other military teams as well as civilian club teams. Recently the US Army has started the Warrior Fitness Team which features athletes who train for CrossFit and Strongman competitions. On this episode of All About Fitness, US Army Captain Kasandra Clark, a West Point graduate and member of the Warrior Fitness team when she's not flying helicopters in combat, stops by to talk about how she want from a high school state champ to an American Hero responsible for protecting our safety and freedom. In addition, we talk about how the US military might make a great career for individuals who love competing in sports and how fitness in the military has evolved over the years.
