Once upon a time it would take weeks or months to travel from one part of the world to another. However, now that it's 2021, you can hop on a jet and be almost anywhere on the globe within a matter of hours. As a result, the international economy is extremely interconnected allowing entire industries to expand to different markets in order to create and serve the needs of new customers.

The fitness lifestyle that began in the gyms and studios of the United States has now grown to all parts of the globe; from Manhattan to Moscow to Manila, customers are flocking to health clubs and studios in pursuit of sculpted bodies. Jack Thomas grew up in Great Britain and found himself working in Southeast Asia where he saw an opportunity to help make the world a healthier place which resulted in his opening BASE, a fitness studio, in Bangkok, Thailand. In addition to functioning as the CEO of BASE, Jack hosts the Fitness Business Asia podcast and on this episode of All About Fitness he shares how the past year has impacted fitness operations in other parts of the world.
