For years, women who exercise have had a misconceived fear about how strength training with weights would change their body. The reality is that not only does resistance training build muscle, but it can also be an extremely effective way to burn calories making it beneficial for everyone, especially for women. Making her 2nd appearance on All About Fitness, Artemis Scantalides, recently named by Shape Magazine as one of the top trainers to follow on Instagram, talks about her recent cross-country move, how she got started in kettlebell training, her first powerlifting competition, what it's like to be a strength coach for the performers of Cirque du Soleil and her workshop, 'I am Not Afraid to Lift' about the benefits of strength training for women.
